At MUKHA, client safety, wellbeing, and comfort are our highest priorities. Please take a moment to read the following before booking your appointment.

Treatment Suitability

Buccal Massage and Myofascial Facial Therapy may not be suitable for everyone. A consultation and health screening form will be completed prior to treatment via Fresha. Treatment may be modified, postponed, or declined if it is deemed unsafe or unsuitable.

Please inform MUKHA if you have any medical conditions, are pregnant, are undergoing medical treatment, or have recently had cosmetic, dental, or surgical procedures.

Client Eligibility

MUKHA currently welcomes female clients only. As a solo practitioner working from a private home studio, this policy is in place to ensure the safety and comfort of both client and practitioner.

Contraindications

Treatment may not be suitable if you have:

  • Botox within the last 4 weeks
  • Recent dermal fillers (please enquire before booking)
  • Recent facial surgery
  • Recent dental extractions, implants, or major dental work
  • Active cold sores or skin infections
  • Severe inflamed acne
  • Open wounds or facial trauma
  • Fever, flu, or contagious illness
  • First trimester of pregnancy
  • Certain medical conditions or ongoing cancer treatment

Booking & Cancellation Policy

To book an appointment, please follow these steps:

  • Select your treatment, date and time via Fresha and complete the health intake form during the booking process.
  • Mona will review your health form and confirm your appointment is suitable.
  • Once confirmed, Mona will send a 30 security deposit link via WhatsApp or email to finalise your booking.
  • Your appointment is confirmed once the deposit has been received. The deposit is deducted from the total cost of your treatment on the day.

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours' notice. In this case, your deposit may be transferred to a future appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will result in the loss of the deposit.

Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

  • Clients arriving late may have their treatment time shortened to avoid impacting subsequent appointments. The full treatment fee will still apply.
  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be cancelled and treated as a late cancellation.

Treatment Results & Client Responsibility

While treatments are designed to support relaxation, facial health, circulation, lymphatic flow, and overall wellbeing, individual results will vary.

The longevity and effectiveness of treatment outcomes are influenced by many lifestyle factors, including:

  • Stress levels
  • Sleep quality
  • Hydration
  • Nutrition
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Exercise and movement
  • General health and wellbeing

For optimal results, clients are encouraged to support their treatments through healthy lifestyle habits and ongoing self-care practices.

Aftercare Recommendations

To help prolong the benefits of your treatment, we recommend:

  • Staying well hydrated
  • Prioritising rest and quality sleep
  • Limiting alcohol consumption for 24 hours after treatment
  • Avoiding smoking where possible
  • Choosing nutrient-dense, whole foods over highly processed foods
  • Managing stress through mindfulness, movement, breathwork, or relaxation practices
  • Following any personalised aftercare advice provided
